Privacy policy

Effective October 31, 2026.

bzyy is a family to-do app for routines and one-off tasks. It is free and has no ads or analytics, and it does not track you across apps or websites.

Where your family’s data lives

Everything you enter in bzyy, such as names, routines, tasks, check-offs, and the app’s change and sign-in histories, is stored in iCloud through Apple’s CloudKit service. The data sits in the iCloud account of the parent who created the family and is shared only with the Apple Accounts that parent invites. The developer of bzyy runs no server of its own and does not receive a copy of this data.

Parent and caregiver PINs are stored only as salted one-way hashes.

On this device or browser

The app keeps a working copy of your family’s data on each device so it can work offline, along with a random identifier for the device. The web app keeps the same kind of copy and identifier in your browser, which also lets a parent choose which children use that browser. Signing in on the web uses Apple’s own sign-in for iCloud.

Children

bzyy is set up and managed by parents. Children see only their own routines and tasks, and parents can correct or delete any item.

Deleting data

Parents can delete any item in the app. Deleted items stay in Recently Deleted for 30 days and are then removed.

The parent who created the family can remove all of its data from iCloud in the Settings app on an iPhone or iPad, under the iCloud storage used by bzyy. Deleting the app, or clearing a browser’s data for bzyy.com, removes the copy kept there.
